Bureau of International Affairs met to discuss Poland, 7 December 2021

Jeremy Havardi and Tony Swabe of the Bureau for International Affairs had a meeting in London today with the recently appointed Polish Foreign Minister’s Plenipotentiary for Contacts with the Jewish Diaspora, Jaroslaw Nowak, and two of his colleagues. Various concerns were raised at the meeting, including Poland’s new restitution law and the one-sided narrative about the country’s role in the Holocaust. The Bureau made it clear that the failure to provide restitution would continue to harm Polish-Israel relations, as well as those with diaspora communities.
