Talk on antisemitism by CST’s Dave Rich: last night’s Bureau of International Affairs event

Last night, Dave Rich, the head of policy at the CST, gave an online talk to BBUK members and friends of the Bureau about his book Everyday Hate: How antisemitism is built into our world and how you can change it. He outlined the wave of antisemitism that had been generated by the Hamas attacks of 7th October, and Israel’s response to those acts of terror. He showed that many of the placards on display at marches regurgitated the core tropes and cyphers of age old antisemitism, and explained that antisemitism was a default response by many because it was so implanted in the western mind. He went on to discuss positive ways in which such hatred and prejudice could be effectively tackled.
