BBUK EMERGENCY APPEAL FOR ISRAEL

Dear Members and Friends,

I am sure that you don’t need me to remind you of the absolute horror that was inflicted upon innocent civilians in Israel last Simchat Torah, 7th October.

Nor do I need to inform you about the continuing horrors engulfing the entire region.

What we need is to all come together and help in the best way that we can.

The town of Qiryat Gat, where BBUK has been supporting a Food Bank and Distribution Centre for over twenty years, lies between Gaza and Jerusalem, has been hit by multiple rocket attacks..

We have been in direct contact and their need is immediate and it is vital that we support their fight for survival at this terrible time.

All schools are closed, the fathers have been drafted, the mothers are now in essential services, the children are being cared for at special emergency centres.

We have been asked to provide funds to buy specific aid that is now urgently required by the community

The fallout and long term consequences hardly bear thinking about.

I will not emphasise any points with illustrations as I found them all too upsetting, no doubt you are all fully acquainted with the position having seen the atrocities graphically laid out on out TV screens.

All donations will be passed to the Qiryat Gat Foundation for use locally.

All spending will be monitored by our on the ground contact and you can be assured that funds raised will be used only to benefit the victims.

Donations can be made by BACS transfer to the BBUK bank Account;
