BBUK at last Sunday’s AJEX Remembrance Parade

Last Sunday, B’nai B’rith UK took part in the annual AJEX (Association of Jewish Ex Servicemen) Remembrance Parade and Ceremony. It was a poignant, dignified and memorable occasion with solemn tributes to the Jewish members of the British armed forces who served their nation in the two world wars. This year is of particular significance, given that 2023 is the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the 80th anniversary of Operation Chastise, the iconic Dambusters Raid. The reception beforehand in Great George Street featured stirring speeches from Marie van der Zyl, Mark Gardner of the CST and the Chief Rabbi, which referenced the 7th October attacks and the rise in global antisemitism.
